Nicholas Nyhof is a Canadian Producer focused on bringing bold, character-driven stories to life.

Nicholas Nyhof is a Toronto-based film and television producer working across development, production, and post-production. His work spans independent features and television, with a particular interest in ambitious, character-driven storytelling and elevated genre.

He is currently producing RESONANCE, a grounded science-fiction feature written and directed by longtime collaborator Cole Smith. Developed together from its initial concept through screenplay and production, the film was shot on location in Colorado and Wyoming and is currently in post-production.

Through Nyhof Entertainment, Nicholas develops an active slate of original film and television projects, collaborating closely with writers and filmmakers from early concepts through scripts, packaging, financing, and production. His work is grounded in a collaborative approach to development and a belief that strong creative partnerships are essential to bringing distinctive stories to the screen.

Alongside his independent producing work, Nicholas works with Frame Production Group across an active slate of Canadian television productions. His recent experience includes NORTH OF NORTH Season 2 for CBC, Netflix, and APTN, as well as projects for CBC and other broadcasters. His work spans business affairs, financing, production logistics, and delivery, giving him experience across both the creative and practical sides of bringing projects to life.

Nicholas is an alumnus of the Canadian Film Centre’s Norman Jewison Producers’ Lab and Film Independent’s Fast Track Finance Market. He holds an MFA in Creative Producing from Columbia University, where he received the Michael Hausman Producing Award and an Alfred P. Sloan Production Grant. He previously worked in development with Blumhouse Productions and Alaz Film, evaluating and developing scripted material for film and television.
